New Vocalist For Bingo, yay !!  Current mood:  adventurous

hello folks,finally akhirnya Bingo sudah punya frontman and his name is Yoyok. it’s kinda weird story since actually he’s my older brother. Here’s the story, I went to my hometown called Solo (yes, Solo city kinda cool isn’t it? ) in central Java just for a quick visit, sesampai disana Yoyok yang sudah mayan sibuk with he’s own business got a chance to listened to some of Bingo’s music, aku bilang ke dia kalo kita masih mencari vocalist and bass player, and out of the blue dia bilang why don’t I give him a shot to sings and record his voice over a few Bingo’s tracks.. so i tell myself ..sure what the heck, you sing better than me anyway lol. ya stelah kita take record in recording studio..gosh i got chilled and at the same time amazed with his ..well somewhat unique and weird voice texture. and the rest is .. you can guess it right? ;). I just upload two new version tracks of “Cintaku” & “Dimanakah Dirimu” with his voice in it.. so if you have a lil time please check out our new versions tracks, and leave some..ergh.. cool comments maybe? ha2..kidding. whatever. just give it a listen and crank out your stereo dude. And talkin about production, i hope the album will be completed soon, and not to forget that we will make a video clip from our song called ” Dimanakah Dirimu” at the end of this month…sooo folks please stay tune and freaky as ever ! trully yours - Ponch

Kemaren back to studio buat ngerjain jingle untuk sebuah news channel di oklahoma, gak bisa ngomong banyak krn masih classified he2, the track is pretty hip and cool, lots of techno stuff going on, dilagu ini aku main slap guitar, funk stuff almost like James Brown style. it’s pretty funny since i’ve never really record any guitar stuff with slap technique, so yeah it’s fun and fresh !! I wrote the music with my partner Aub Delane.

Project lain kmren lagi coba2 bikin lagu untuk submit ke movie, stylenya lebih ke reggae ala 70’s semacam War (nama band reggae US), done udah semua track guitarnya, tinggal nunggu Aub lay some vocals tracks, i bet it would be fun to listen .

Selain itu mo siap2 buat ngerjain guitar tracks untuk country singer Jeff Wood yg kmren sempet aku kerjain musiknya, dia kasih tracks drums, gitar dan bass..tapi temponya aujubilee hi2, kayaknya bakalan repot dikit buat ngerjain..but hey.. that’s why I’m getting paid for, to clean up and make the music safe and sound  , check out Jeff Wood page http://www.myspace.com/jeffwoodrecords **jangan lupa listen lagu Long Way From OK, cause i played all guitar parts on that one 

Trus rencana mo balik ke Indo buat recording ama Bingo (band ku yg lagu2nya Indo semua) sekaligus audisi vocalist dan bassist, mungkin efektif ntar bulan oct- nov. mudah2an beres nih recordingnya, materi sih dah cukup banyak menurut ku, tinggal recording aja.

Ada rencana juga buat bikin project duet guitar full instrumental album dengan temen ku, seorang cool gitaris dari Indo, sementara nama masih dirahasiakan demi keamanan project ha2, musiknya bakalan lebih ke rockin stuff, gak aneh2 tapi more rock groovy lah.

so yeah itu aja untuk skrg, mudah2an ntar bisa beres semua nih. ciao !

Kemarin2 aku sempat jalan ama my best buddy Taaf ke sebuah toko musik di bilangan Oklahoma City, Guitar Center namanya. Rencana kesana itu pingin liat2 siapa tau ada sale untuk perangkat bermusik, tapi kayaknya dah sampe sana gak ada yang menarik buat di purchase, jadi kita ended up main2 gitar dan coba2 ampli aja disitu.

Pas main gitar beberapa menit, tau2 ada yang datang dari belakang lalu bisikin, “you’re awesome, great playing!”, aku trus liat eh ternyata ada 2 anak kecil bule yang lucu, namanya Levi dan Adam, si Levi lebih keliatan seperti anak kecil yg biasa dan having fun, dia bilang baru jual pedal wah nya di toko tsb, dan si Adam kliatan lebih rocker dengan t shirt nya yg rockin dan rambutnay yg panjang, asli cool kids banget, dari tatapan matanya nih 2 anak bisa aku liat bakalan jadi gitaris yg handal suatu hari.. i just can tell it. Aku seneng banget ngliat anak2 itu antusias pas aku kasih tau my own guitar licks krn mrk minta aku supaya main sesuatu yg cool , ya udah aku conthin dan mainin a few tricks from my sleeve :).. mereka kayaknya seneng banget ha2.. aah i love cool kids like em :).

Thanks to them aku kembali re-freshed, dan makin aware walau cuma main gitar barang beberapa menit actually bisa bikin orang seneng dan happy, apalagi seperti 2 anak tsb, mereka masih 12 years old.. what a young age .. ngingetin masa2 aku dulu seumur itu, emang tiap hari balik skolah langsung pegang gitar, kunci kamar ku dan rockin sampe malam..

Frankly speaking perasaanku aku gak pernah dihargain sebegitunya sama org lain akan musik ku dan gitaran ku, apalagi ketika aku kirim2 demo lagu ke perusahan label recording dll, selalu rejected dan selalu dibilang not good enough, sampe skrg pun rasanya masih blom sebgitu nya dihargain musik2 ku terutama di tanah air sendiri ..oh well ha2.. tapi emang dasarnya aku main gitar dan musik karena suka dan cinta banget sama musik dan instrument yg satu ini, ngfans abis lah.. jadi akhirnya emang kesimpulannya kalo emang yakin dengan path yg kamu pilih knapa harus prove something to people? i guess it’s not my time anymore untuk mencari sedikit tepukan di belakang pundak untuk membuatku nyaman dan merasa lebih baik.. pokoknya stay true with my music and keep it happening.. kalo bisa berusaha bikin surprise diriku sendiri dengan segala limitation ku .. aku sadar gak semua ide2 laguku OK, but sure it’s make me happy just playing my music.. aku semakin cinta akan nikmat kehidupan ini dan bersyukur atas apa yang aku punya saat ini.
